Commission Based Service: Our commission based service offers both time efficiency for the kitchen and the best prices at the same time. Ordering through OMS means we can broker with your suppliers to make sure you have the best price, the commission based model saves both time and money on the products you order via the OMS system.  

  • You sign up to the OMS system free of charge.
  • We upload all of the items you order for your business and use our buying power to find gain you the best prices for your items (or you can choose to stay with particular suppliers for particular items, not based on price, if you choose).
  • You then order through OMS using the prices & suppliers we have on our system (if your preferred suppliers aren’t on our system, let us know and we can add them).
  • The stock arrives with you as normal and you are invoices by your suppliers as normal. Orders Made Simple then charges a small percentage fee for the items you have ordered through the system.
  • We have found that restaurants save between 10-35% on items when ordering through us, so your savings will outweigh the small percentage OMS charges for the service.

Questions
Is the OMS system a phone app?
Predominantly yes, the OMS system was developed for a chef, owner or manager to be able to order their stock from their hand held device, whether that is a tablet or phone. This makes it easier and quicker for them to add items to their order list as soon as they realise they need to order something. OMS is all about saving time for the chefs and saving money for the business owners, having an app, easy to reach on your phone saves the chef and owner a huge amount of time and money.
Can I use OMS for a Multisite Business?
Yes, ofcourse OMS can be used for a multisite business. We can offer Owners access to all of their locations via the OMS Dashboard and then allow chefs access to just one location or multiple locations, whatever is required. We can even offer different ordering lists and systems for various locations, whether the entire menu is different or just the ‘Specials’. Can I integrate my Position of Sale system with OMS?
Unfortunately, this is not something we are able to do at this time, however, it is something we are working on as a business. Our hope is to develop OMS into a smart ordering tool, using data from your till, local events, weather etc. to be able to predict your order volumes – helping reduce waste and the chance of running out of stock. Can I Order My Packaging and Cleaning supplies on OMS?
Yes, absolutely! OMS is designed to be a one stop shop for all of your ordering needs. You can order your ingredients, cleaning supplies, packaging, stationary etc. all from the OMS app. It is worth mentioning, however, that things like bespoke packaging require a little more effort to add to our system, so if you have any special requests such as that, please get in touch with us so we can find the best solution for you.
Can I change who I order from if I don’t like the quality of a supplier?
Yes, this is absolutely not a problem thanks to our OMS dashboard. When you sign up to the OMS system, you are given access to your own personal dashboard where you are able to alter/adapt your suppliers and ingredients to suit your needs. If there is a particular ingredient you only want from a particular supplier, it is very easy to set up your preferred supplier. It is equally as easy to change back to a different supplier if and as you wish.
